huskona (OSw) huskone (ODan) noun

Several compounds beginning with hus ‘house’ or hem ‘home’ refer to people of varying status and degree of dependence serving at or managing a house(hold). A huskona appears to have been an unfree woman serving in a household. In OSw ÄVgL and YVgL her status was so low that she was used in an illustration of humiliation.
