Contributor 76 years old: knew Dean Christie. Mother, Mrs Jane Young-Taylor, gave him several songs; she was born in Achendreth, near Fochabers, and died aged 80, after Dean Christie's death. She sang 'Bay o Biscay', 'Battle Waterl Blaeberries'[?], 'Bonnets o Blue'.
Robert Taylor knew ' Johnnie Toll', a crazy minstrel who gave Christie 'The Duke o Gordon's Daughter', described as old, dark, thin, and wore a lum hat; boys at school would tease him into a frenzy of oaths, then he would turn round and sing 'The Duke o Gordon's daughter'. 'Smored in hayloft near Rathven'.
Note at end states 'Heard about sixty years ago'.
