Learned from her mother, Jean Hutcheon, of Bogfountain, 2 or 3 miles from Lambhill; she learned most of her songs 65-70 years ago. Mother died forty-five years ago at age of seventy-seven. She never saw a ballad book, so far as Miss Duncan knew.
