That she this deponent upon a Saturday the 13th of July passing by the arlate Swan in the parish of St Peter's in Norwich where the producent (it being then a market day at Norwich) was then and there selling of salt and oatmeal heard the arlate John Leverick and the producent Susan Darby at some hot and angry words, insomuch that the said John Leverick told the producent Susan Darby that she was a whore a ridden whore and a stridden whore and he would prove her a whore, which words were spoken in the presence and hearing of this deponent and her contest William Grevous (whom she took notice of beside diverse several other people, that she did not know).
That upon the 13th day of January last past, it being then market day at Norwich, the producent Susan Darby was by the Black Swan in the parish of St Peter's in Norwich selling of salt and oatmeal; and this deponent was about his employment delivering of horses and taking money for their standing it being his employment every Saturday there, and as he was thus about his employment the arlate John Leverick came to this deponent's stall... and in an hot and angry manner told the said producent that she was a whore a ridden whore a common whore and a stridden whore and he would prove her a whore, which words were spoken then and there in the presence and hearing of this deponent.
