Examined saith that Jane Williamson wife of John Williamson Skinner and Ellen Lunt her maid did hire this examinate and the said Ellen Lunt gave him 2d in hand and the said Jane Williamson promised to give him 4d if he would go into Randall Jewett’s cellar and swagger with Randall Jewett and break his pots and do him any other annoyances he could and bring to them one of his pots… To whom this examinate said he would give him a kind of powder to drink that would much annoy him which they earnestly entreated him to do.
