She this examinate came to this City upon Saturday last and hath sithence lodged at the house of the former examinate Moores, and that she came of purpose to meet with her mother… saith that this night past there was a piper that played there and had lain there since Saturday last and that this examinate danced after him with a maid… whose name she knoweth not, and saith that this examinate went to bed about 9 of the clock, and that her bed was taken up.
Sworn and examined deposeth and saith that upon Saturday night last past there came unto this examinate’s house one John Peacock a piper by profession and lodged there all night and sithence until this day, saith that this night last past the said piper played until eleven of the clock in the night of thereabouts and that there was in his house John Gillam and his son and a man of Mr Calveley… brought thither by the said John and his son Thomas, and saith that this examinate went to bed and left the said company in his house, but at what time they departed and left his house, this examinate knoweth not, saith further that this woman now found in house house came thither also upon Saturday last and hath since hitherto lodged there… and saith also that not any of the watch came to this examinate’s house this night last past, to command him to shut his doors or go to bed, that this examinate either heard or knew of and more saith not.
