Saith that Roger Horton being this examinate’s apprentice hath been employed and sent over by him over into Ireland about his necessary business and saith that the said Roger Horton hath (as this examinate hath been credibly informed) wasted and spent this examinate’s money at the tennis court in Dublin but how much he hath wasted he knoweth not as yet. He saith also that about a month before Christmas last this examinate’s said apprentice was wanted and went to a syllabub to the house of one Margery Waterson where what his spent this examinate saith he knoweth not. He further saith that about the beginning of lent last this examinate having occasion to go down into Wirral his said apprentice in the meantime did go to the house of Robert Cally musician in the night time and came not home until the morning after. That at this examinate’s being in Ireland he also repaired thither and did spend the Sabbath day in dancing and spent 18d by his own confession.
