Examined concerning divers misdemeanours by him yesterday committed within this City confesseth and saith that yesterday he had been drinking at the house of Widow Johnson’s without the barres at the Foregate Street at the Three Cups and that being drunk he rode into a row in the Northgate Street with his dagger drawn ready to have strucken any that should have met him and had like to trodden down under his horse’s feet divers children in the row and being further examined in what other places he had been drinking saith he knoweth not by reason he was so far spent in drink.
