That upon the second day of January last was a twelvemonth the said William Fuller and William Dade in the article named came to an alehouse in Croxton and sent for this deponent who went to them and being there they asked him this deponent whether he had not a daughter that dwelt with Mr Thorisby who replied yes. Then the said Fuller and Dade told him this deponent that the said Thorisby had carried away his daughter to London who told them that it was strange and that he knew not thereof then the said Fuller and Dade replied and told this deponent that he knew it very well and must know and that he had been at Thorisby's house to demand money of him and that the said Thorisby had paid this deponent ten pounds at the table where they then sat for the wrong that he had done to this deponent's daughter whereupon this deponent replied and answered that it was false for that he never received a penny of Thorisby in his life nor of any other from him and for this reason he this deponent doth believe the said Fuller to be an utter enemy to the said Thorisby and further saith not.
