Being examined who was in his house upon Thursday last in the afternoon saith there was Robert Booth, Carpenter, George Flowers, Tailor, John Heady, Thatcher, John Harvey and Elizabeth Buxey drinking together in his said house and saith that betwixt 3 and four of the clock in the afternoon he this examinate and John Harvey went to bring Elizabeth Buxey out of the City and brought her as far as the Sandy Lane in Boughton and there he rested for a while and afterward turned towards the City and seeing her coming after them they asked her why she came back and she said it was too late to go forward and being demanded whither she intended to go saith she intended to go to Holt and thence to Wrixham and so they walked… together a good while till it was dark and betwixt 7 and 8 of the clock went to Griffith Price his house and there stayed half an hour and spent 3d and saith that then the said Harvey departed from them and he this examinate and the said Elizabeth Buxie went to Evan Tellet’s house and stayed there till betwixt one and two of the clock in the same night and spent a groat in drink and saith that he then went home and left the said Elizabeth Buxie at the said Tellett’s house and went to bed to his wife and lay till eight of the clock in the next morning and more saith not.
Being examined where her husband was on Thursday last saith that he was with her at home and about one or two of the clock in the afternoon her husband and one John Harvey went to bring Elizabeth Buxey out of the town… and saith that John Harvey came back to her house about 7 of the clock in the night of the same day and left her husband behind him and saith that she asked the said Harvey where her husband was and he was then so drunk that he could not tell her readily where he was… And being examined what persons were drink[ing] in her house on Thursday last saith as the former examinate hath said and more saith not.
Being examined saith as the former examinate Richard Ouffe hath said as to there bring drinking at his house, going to Boughton… but saith that after the return of this examinate the said Ouffe and Harvey to this City the said Harvey left them in the Watergate Street between 7 and 8 of the clock at night and the said Ouffe went to Evan Tellet’s house on Trinity Lane whither he came about 8 of the clock and the said Tellet was then in bed and nobody in the house but his wife and this examinate and the said Ouffe sat by the fire till about nine of the clock at which time the said Tellet’s wife went to bed to her husband and this examinate went with her to bed and lay there all night at her back until the next morning that she rose about 7 of the clock and saith she stayed there all the next day and lay there the next night after and also saith that the said Ouffe upon the said Thursday night when this examinate went to bed sat and slept in a chair in the house till 4 of the clock in the morning and then he went home as the said Tellet’s wife told this examinate and further saith that this examinate returned on the said Thursday at night the first place they came to was to Urmeston’s house in Cow Lane but denieth that there was any company in the said house but the said Ouffe and Harvey and one Bonny Bowker.
Examined saith Richard Ouffe and Elizabeth Buxey came to this examinate’s house on Thursday sevenight at night betwixt seven and 8 of the clock and were both distempered with drink as she conceived and the said Ouffe sat in a chair in the said house till about 12 of the clock at which time this examinate saith that the said Ouffe went out of the house and said that he went home and she shut the door after him and then she fetched a bolster and blankets and laid them in the Chimney Corner for the said Elizabeth Buxey to sleep on where she slept till morning and denieth that she lay in bed with her that night and more saith not.
