John Clarke
On Tuesday the 20th of this instant he sitting at the door of the Falcon alehouse in St John Maddermarket, he saw young Mr Feldegate the upholster going from the Duke's Palace toward the churchyard, and Mr King the barber following him; and saw Mr King go into the churchyard just after Mr Feldegate; and then saw them pushing, which this informant thought to be only in jest till he heard Mr Feldegate say, Why do you assault me; and Mr King continued elbowing Mr Feldegate and this informant heard Mr Feldegate say to King, You had better go home and thrash your wife; upon which King turned again to Mr Feldegate and pushed and elbowed him till they were at the steeple when they were out of this informant's sight.
