Francis Phillip
This day as he was going home past one Samuel Suffeild's house alehousekeeper of the foresaid parish [St Michael at Thorn], Suffeild called him squinking son of a whore, and the deponent replied he was no more squinking son of a whore than he was. With that Suffield struck up his heels and laid him in the gutter, and then ran into his house and got a broom staff and struck him three times with the staff on his head and wounded him in a grievous manner.
