Who informeth and saith that this day this informant being in company with William Bayley of Manchester aforesaid innkeeper the said Bayley did report that a wagoner lately come from the west of England had reported that in his journey he had been stayed for six hours together whilst the dead bodies of the King's party were removing out of the highway and that the late Duke of Monmouth riding by, did weep to see so much English blood spilt, and further the said Bayley did affirm the said news to be true and said it would be better believed, within a week and he further reported that William Blackshaw of Manchester glover had told him all this; and further this informant saith not.
