Who saith that before Christmas was two years she was at Hugh Pye's mug oven in Sutton to buy pots where enquiring from the said Hugh what he had done with Mr Herring a collector of the duty of pots about some difference concerning the duty he the said Hugh answered god damn Herring and all his partakers and god damn the King and Parliament god damn King William for if I had him here I would put him into the oven when it was at the hottest whereupon this informant said fie fie Hugh why will you say so and then he continued talking much to the same purpose and saying they had layed such layes and taxes upon us poor men cannot live but then with much cursing and swearing - said poor and rich will soon be all alike.
