Who being examined saith that on Friday last past one Thomas Ashton collier came into this examinate's house being an alehouse and calling for ale this examinate told him he had also enough whereupon he assaulted and put in danger of her life this examinate being aged eighty years or thereabouts but she this examinate being rescued by one Edmund Whitehead he the said Thomas Ashton swore grievously that he would see the heart's blood of him the said Edward Whitehead and thereupon forthwith stabbed him with a knife: and further cannot depose.
