Who informeth on oath, that on Saturday last but one, he the said Ralph Halsom being Constable of Crompton, was sent for to the house of the said Abraham Milnes to apprehend Robert Wild of Ryton yeoman, who was then and there drunk as these informers verily believe, and also reviling and shamefully abusing with reproachful and disdainful speeches Thomas Cheetam of Nuthurst gentleman and others there soberly and in peaceable manner assembled, and further say that the said Constable endeavouring to perform his office, was resisted so by the said Wild that he could not do the same, but received several blood wipes given him by the said Robert Wild, and further do not inform.
