Informeth upon oath that Christopher Spakeman of Bolton aforesaid tailor on Monday the 29th of April last continued tippling and drinking in the house of Alexander Greene of Bolton aforesaid alehousekeeper above the space of two hours contrary to the form of the statute and where he paid for his drink after the rate of 3d a quart: and this examinate saith that the said Christopher Spakeman's wife came into the said house and enquired for her husband of the said Alexander Greene's wife, who utterly denied that the said Spakeman her said husband was there.
Informeth upon oath and saith that Thomas Brooke of Bolton aforesaid Chapman on Monday the 19th day of April last continued in the house of Alexander Greene of Bolton aforesaid alehousekeeper tippling and drinking by the space of two hours contrary to the form of the statute: where he paid for his ale at least after the rate of 3d a quart: and further saith that the wife of the said Thomas Brooke came and enquired of the said Alexander Greene's wife for her said husband, who replied and said that he was not there at which time the said Thomas Brooke was in the said house.
