John Niccolson
Informerth and saith that upon the Sunday after Michaelmas Day last past, he being in the house of Thomas Fell at Urmston in the morning before prayers, and one Peter Danson of Conishead being likewise there with him, he this examinate begun to speak of a ballad or song lately made against the Pope whereupon the said Peter gave him divers evil words, and asked him what he had to do to meddle with the Pope, for the Pope he said was as good a man, as any man, was in England.
