That upon Sunday the 18th day of the said month of June about eight of the clock in the evening of the said day, Jerman Howard of Wiggenhall Germans aforesaid, being in drink, and misdemeaning himself, in throwing a dumb boy of the Widow Sanster's into the river there, and threatening to do as much unto Margaret Sanster her daughter, took her up by the clothes and threw her upon his shoulder offering to cast her also into the river, was commanded by the constable of the same town to go to his bed, which he refused to do, and thereupon the constable offering to set him in the stocks, one John Chandelor of the same town being then present said unto the constable (in the hearing of this informant) you do offer us poor men wrong in troubling of us, and it is the next way to make us rise, and then the constable caused the said Howard to go to his bed.
