That the foresaid David Jones and other witnesses in deposing that about Midsummer last past the said Thomas Taylor in a violent and furious manner, did draw a knife against the said Sara and swore that he would kill her, and that he then stabbed the said Sara in several parts or places of her body and that he pursued and followed her flying from him, and swore that he had kissed her and if he had not kissed her, he would kiss her if he were hanged for it, or to that effect…That John Chetwood and other witnesses in this cause… sworne and examined in deposing that since the intermarriage of the plaintiff and defendant, and about four years since, the said Thomas Taylor did give the said Sara a blow upon the face and struck her down, and afterward did offer to strike her with a staff, which he had in his hand; and that the defendant drew his knife against her, and swore by the Lord's blood he would cut her throat, or to that effect… That about the time aforesaid the said Thomas and Sara going along together towards the said Sara her father's house, the said Thomas did so strike the said Sara upon her face as aforesaid, and offered to strike her with a staff, and drew his knife and swore by the Lord's blood he would cut her throat and that he is a very desperate man when he is overtaken with drink… That Jane Bradley another witness produced, sworn and examined in deposing that about Bartholomew day last past [illegible] night… the said Thomas Taylor did so break open the door of the chamber where the plaintiff lay under the surgeon's hand upon the wounds aforesaid; and brought a naked knife and laid at the bed's head all night, and that he was very outrageous and swore grievously, and did threaten, swear, and affright her the said Sara.
