Examined what men and women were lodged at her house upon Friday night last past saith one Anthony Grimsdich and one other man and their two wives: and there break their fast the next morrow but did not break their fast there, but saith in the next morrow the wife of Jeffrey Cook came to this examinate's house to enquire for the said Anthony Grimsdich and asked for him and said she would bestow a pint of wine upon him and then the said Anthony and the other man and their wives were all together in the parlour of her house and yet this examinate answered her they were not there but were abroad and would be there very shortly to break their fast and so saith the said Jeffrey Cook his wife departed for that time all which words she saith the same Anthony and the rest heard and thereupon this Grimsdich his wife and the other man and his wife departed out of this examinate's house upon a sudden as though they had been afeared after they had heard the voice of Jeffrey Cook's wife yet denieth that she told them or any of them of the being there of the said Jeffrey Cook's wife or that she told them or any of them that she asked for the said Anthony or that they took their leave of this examinate nor whither they went but saith the said two men went out of this examinate's house up the backside and the women through the street and denieth that they or any of them left any goods with her or that she hath any of theirs… and that they departed thence away before breakfast.
