Sworn and examined deposeth and saith that this deponent came to one Whittingham's house and there found the said Williams sitting by the fire and his wife playing at tables with another man the said Williams motioned to sell a mare to some honest man, this deponent hearing his motioned him to the former deponent and he disliking the mare because she trotted would not buy her and after this deponent motioned him to the said Taylor who bought her for 18s 4d in this deponent's presence whereof he paid in hand 5s and more saith not.
