James Halloday
He went about eleven a clock at night the 19th instant with his brother Thomas Halloday to one John Browne's house of St John of Timberhill parish alehousekeeper. And one Samuel Ward a keelman that was there came to his brother Thomas Halloday and took him by the collar, and John Browne alehousekeeper reached over the settle (where he with several more were) with an iron rod in his hand (to the best of his knowledge) and struck his brother Thomas Halloday on the head with the iron in his hand, and broke his head and the blood ran down very much. And John Browne called out to Samuel Ward (who had his brother by the collar) and said, Kill him, the said Hallody.
