Thomas Baker overseer of St Paul's doth inform that upon Saturday last he having arrested Daniel Grundy upon a warrant for not paying to the poor and he the said Grundy did resist and did several times strike he this informant's head and did strike him several times and in the time of the scuffle Mr John Bence came and told this informant that he this informant was drunk and mad and demanded to see this informant's warrant which this informant refused to show him, he having formerly showed the same to the said Grundy who endeavoured to snatch the same from this informant and upon this informant's refusal to show Mr Bence his warrant he told this deponent that he had arrested a man without a warrant and afterward he told this informant that the Court had adjudged this informant to be a crazed man.
