The Jury do present that these persons hereafter named are vehemently suspected to keep houses of bawdry within the Town of Manchester viz John Heywood at Oliver's being formerly presented for harbouring a lewd housewife called Jane Pilkington who hath had two or three bastards, Ralph Crompton (whose house is notoriously known by the name of the White Friars) Edward Glover whose house is known by the name of the Fortune William Smith the Younger whose house is publicly known by the name of the Cross Keys Sara Soundiforth wife of George Soundiforth a lewd woman.
