'ut supra' [Purton is licensed to keep a tippling house in the now mansion house of the same John on the common staithe in Conisford, if John shall at all times hereafter keep good rule in his house and shall not [let] any person or persons to eat or drink in the same house in the time of sermons or other divine service nor upon any Sabbath or holiday, nor suffer any unlawful games to be had, used or maintained in the same house. But shall serve the queen's liege people of bread, beer or ale for their money at their need and necessity so long as he shall dwell in the same house and no longer] 'and shall lodge the queen's liege people'.
