Layout:Pricking: none seen. Writing space of 155 x 90 mm. Single columns with c. 24 lines. No ruling visible.
Writing: One scribe writing in black ink in an Anglicana hand. Body height: 2 mm.
Decoration: Item 1: first letter of each four lines tinted red with a red dash at the side. End of text underlined in red. Item 2: first letter at beginning of each quatrain tinted red with a red paraph-like mark next to it. Half lines filled with a red line. End of text underlined in red. First letter of text has a large, red Lombardic initial. Item 3: red Lombardic initial A starts text. Decoration as above. Item 4: two-line red Lombardic initial T. Decoration as above. Item 5: end of text underlined. Item 6: end of text underlined. Red Lombardic initial starts text.
Binding: Not medieval. Size: 140 x 205 mm. Cover of pink/red paper. Spine carries 'FRAGMENT OF POETRY & MS 15 CEN'. Five raised bands across the spine.
Foliation:2 paper, 2 parchment flyleaves + 76 (f. 76 is a paper flyleaf). Really iv + 75 + i.
