Severall proceedings in Parliament, Number 2, 9th-16th October 1649 E.575[23]

Townes Corporate, and all other places in England,
Wales and the Town of Berwick do subscribe the said
Ingagement.
Oredered, &c.
That the Lieutenant of the Tower of London, and
all the Officers and Ministers under him and all the
Officers of the Office of the Ordinance and Mint, and
all other Officers within the Tower of London doe
subscribe the said Ingagement.
Ordered, &c.
That the severall Governours of Plantations now
resident in England with all their Deputies, Assistants,
Agents, Ministers and Officers do subscribe the
said Ingagement, before they doe execute or act any
thing in their several and respective places. And that
the Councell of State do take order the same be done
accordingly.
Ordered, &c.
That all Officers and Ministers in all Cities, Burroughes
and Townes Corporate, or that shall hereafter
be admitted into any of the said Offices and places
with England, and Wales, and Town of Barwick
upon Tweed do subscribe the said Ingagement.
Ordered, &c.
That the Committees for regulating the Universities
of Oxford and Cambridge, doe cause all the heads
of Houses, Colledges and Halls, and all Fellowes
of Houses in the several Universities, and all Graduates
and Officers, that are or shall be of and in the said Vniversities
or either of them to subscribe the said Ingagement.
And that from henceforth no person bee
admitted to take any Degree or beare any Office in
