According to former Order the house resumed the Debate
upon the Bill Entituled, An Act of Recognition of his Highness
Right and Title to be Protector and Chief Magistrate of the Commonwealth
of England, Scotland and Ireland, and the Dominions
and Territories thereunto belonging.
Resolved upon the Question, that this House will take into
consideration a pravious Vote touching the matter of this
Debate before the commitment of this Bill.
Ordered, that the House do proceed to take into consideration
the same previous Vote to morrow morning at eight of the
clock, and that no other business do then intervene.
Friday, Feb. 11.
Colonel Morley being chosen to serve as a Member of this
present Parliament for the County of Sussex, and also for the
Borough of Lewis in the same County, declared, that he made
choice to serve for the County, and waved his Election for
the Borough of Lewis.
Ordered, that a new Writ be issued for the Election of a
Burgesse to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough
of Lewis the County of Sussex, and that Mr. Speaker do
send his Warrant to the Clerk of the Commonwealth in
Chancery for the issuing of a new Writ for the Election of a
Burgess to serve for the Borough of Lewis accordingly.
Mr. Fagg being chosen to serve a Member in this present
Parliament for the County of Sussex, and also for the Borough
of Bramber in the same County, declared, That he did make
choice to serve for the County, and wav'd his Election for
the Borough of Bramber.
Ordered, That a new Writ be issued for the Election of a
Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of
Bramber in the County of Sussex, and that Mr. Speaker do
send his Warrant to the Clerk of the Commonwealth in
Chancery for the issuing of a new Writ for the Election of a
Burgesse to serve for the Borough of Bramber accordingly.
