of the profound Mysterie, that nothing
might be wanting to restore the wits of the Commonwealth,
that have so long run a wool-gathering
after Government.
The Patients of our own Country being searcht,
secundum Artem, at the Day appointed, the Artists
found they had swallowed many a Gudgeon,
which swimming in the Brain, were is converted into
Notions, and therefore pronounced them incurable,
yet said, much might be done, if they could
but take down Pompions instead of Mastick Pills;
of which a Tryall is to be made.
Yesterday, the very next day after the Operation,
it being a Cure that this Country is famous
for, here landed a jolly Crew of the Inhabitants
of the Island of Oceana, in company of the learned
Author himself, they having been sent hither
with him, by order of the most Renowned
Prince Archon; viz Doctor Ferne, Mr Hobbs,
Mr. White, Mr John Hall of Richmond, together
with the High-Notion all-Knight, and the Author
of the late Animadversions upon the Welsh; and
that wondrous wife Republican called Mercurius
Politicus (who served up the Politicks in Sippets)
Of all whose Concernments in the way of Cure,
as also of all the other Occurrences and Affairs of
State in this Countrey, you may expect an Account
by the Post from time to time.
