Sir Thomas Felton (d. 1381)

Sir Thomas Felton was in the service of the Black Prince since 1353 and a prominent member of the administration of the principality of Aquitaine. Steward of the household in 1363, later seneschal of Aquitaine. According to Froissart he was captured at the Battle of Nájera but soon exchanged for Arnold of Audrehem, marshal of France. In 1371 he became the effective head of the English administration in Aquitaine. In 1377 he was captured in the village of Eymet during an attempt to relieve the siege of Bergerac. He returned to England in 1380 and was elected to the Order of the Garter in January 1381, but died on 26 April 1381.
