Daughter of Louis, count of Nevers, sister of Louis of Nevers, count of Flanders. She was married to John III of Montfort, duke of Brittany.

Charles of Blois, duke of Brittany (d. 1364)
Also known as ‘Saint Charles of Blois’. Younger son of Guy I of Châtillon, count of Blois, and younger brother of Louis I of Châtillon, count of Blois, father of Guy II, count of Blois, who was one of Froissart’s patrons. Charles was married to Jeanne of Penthièvre and through his wife he claimed the duchy of Brittany when the previous duke, Jeanne’s uncle, died in 1341. Charles fought a long battle against John of Montfort, the rival claimant for Brittany. He died in the battle of Auray (29 September 1364).
