Guichard IV d'Angle (c. 1308-15 - 1380), earl of Huntingdon; son of Guichard III d'Angle and Marguerite Maubert. He was born as a subject of the king of France in Poitou, and his family were lords of Angle-sur-l'Anglin and Pleumartin in France. Guichard d'Angle played an important part in the battle of Poitiers, where he was captured by the English. He became a subject of the king of England after the treaty of Bretigny in 1360.

de Bretaigne non des Englois, messire Jehan de Monfort. Et le commença a courir ou nom de ma dame la femme a monseigneur Charles de
Bloys, a laquelle l’eritaige avoit esté de jadis. Si fist la grant guerre et nul ne lui aloit au devant car le duc de Bretaigne ne cuidoit mie que messire Bertrain le deust guerroier et vint devant Saint Yries qu’il assailli
forment. Pardedens la ville ne avoit nul gentilhomme, si furent tant effraiéz
comment que leur ville feust forte asséz qu’ilz se rendirent tantost en l’obeis sance de madame de Bretaigne pour qui il faisoit guerre de Saint Yries firent
les Bretons une grande garnison et bien la fortefierent et par laquelle ilz prindrent plusieurs autres villes et chasteaux en la viconté de Limoges.

escarmuchier mais toudiz songier de la mine. Les chevaliers qui en la ville estoient et les habitans d’icelle, qui bien savoient que on les minoit, firent miner
aussi a l’encontre pour occire les mineurs englois mais ilz faillirent a leur mine. Quant
les mineurs du prince qui tout a fait qu’ilz minoient estancoient furent au
dessus de leur ouvrage, si distrent au prince : "Monseigneur, nous ferons reverser quant il vous plaire un grant pan du mur es fosséz par quoy vous
entreréz ens tout a vostre aise sans dangier." Le prince dist : "Je
vueil que demain a heure de prime vostre ouvrage se moustre." Lors bouterent ceulx le feu en leur mine quant ilz sceurent que point fu. L’endemain ainsi que le prince l’avoit ordonné, renversa I grant pan du mur qui raempli les fosséz a cel endroit ou il estoit cheu. Les Englois qui ce virent estoient la tous arméz sur les champs. Ceulx de pié pouoient bien entrer par la tout a leur aise, si y entrerent et coururent a la porte et couperent les flaiaux et l’abatirent par terre et toutes
les bailles aussi car il n’y avoit point de defence. Et fu tout ce fait si soudainement que
ceulx de la ville ne s’en donnerent garde. Esvous le prince, le duc de Lencastre, les contes de Cantebruge et de Pennebroch, messire
Guichart d’Angle et tous les autres et leurs gens qui enterent ens. Et pillars a
pié qui estoient tous appareilliés de courir la ville et de occire hommes et en fans et ainsi leur estoit il commande. La eut grant pitié car hommes, femmes et enfans
se gettoient a genoulx devant le prince et crioient : "Mercy, gentil sire!" mais il estoit si enflambé d’aïr que point n’y entendoit. Ains fu tout miz a
