1 The grid reference given is for the remains of the ancient church situated 300m NW of Newton Farm (OS(CS)map) or Bluestone (current OS map).     
2 This church had been given to the abbey of St Dogmells before the mid-twelfth century (StDavidsEA 48) and was appropriated to the abbey at the time of the dissolution (MonAng4 132). Its appropriation at the time of the taxatio is indicated by the fact that, although of low value, it is listed as taxable, and this, perhaps above all, gives some support to its inclusion in the listing of appropriated churches in the diocese c.1291 in CowleyMonOrd 278.
