Click on the source button at the end of the line to see the full reference(s) for the information. If the note contains a reference abbreviation that is not expanded in the source button, then it should be possible to use the abbreviation to find the full reference in the References Menu (forthcoming).      Notes:
1 The building of St Helen's church, on the corner of High Street and Fish Street, near the Guildhall, has been used as the County Record Office.
2 This church was annexed in 1287 to the chapel in Worcester known as the 'Carnary' (master and five priests praying daily for the dead, and see VCHWorcs4 411-12). It was the 'warden of the services of the dead of Worcester' who was inducted into the church in 1287, and he was to collect the income from the church for the 'Carnary' and also to pay 5l. to a perpetual vicar in the church: RegGGiff 308. This arrangement appears, however, to have been short-lived: for the bishop collating to the church in 1332 and 1335 see RegOrlW 72, 185-6 and RegMont 32.
