1 The presentation to this church in 1282 was by 'R. de Hengham and other canons of the church of the Blessed Mary of Warwick, Robert de Plessetis, called the dean of the same place, only excepted' (RegGGiff 169). The annexation of the church in 1286 to a specific prebend of St Mary's Warwick was revoked in 1287: RegGGiff 286, 306. For the patronage of the church, which became appropriated to St Mary's in the late fourteenth century, see VCHWarwicks3 68, and for the churches belonging to St Mary's see CartWarwick passim. Since the patronage of the Warwick St Mary collegiate church and its prebends was in the hands of the Earl of Warwick, this church is ascribed here to secular patronage.
