A revelation at Lauds

Abbot Ralph Haget had a momentous experience when he has a choir-monk of Fountains. On one occasion when he was celebrating Lauds with the community, Ralph witnessed a vision of the Trinity, appearing in the three persons. This occurred just as the psalm 'O give thanks unto the Lord' was begun and lasted for two whole verses. Ralph maintained that the memory of this event brought him tremendous solace and hope throughout his life.
