A Committee made report to the House what is the power of the
Commons of England whereupon it was.
Resolved, &c.
1. That the Common of England assembled in Parliament do declare
that the people under God, are the Originall of all the just
people.
Resolved, Nullo contradicente.
2. That the of commons of England, assembled in Parliament being
chosen by and representing the people have the supream authority
of this nation.
3. That whatsoever is enacted, and declared for Law, by the Commons
of England assembled in Parliament bath the force of Law,
and all the people of the Nation are included thereby, although the
consent of the King, and house of Peeres be not had thereunto,
The Ordinance for Tryall of the King, by the name of Charles
Stewart was ordered to be fairly ingressed, many prooses are already
taken in that businesse.

ORdered by the Commons that a great book of Vellum be forthwith
