CONTAINING
The daily proceedings in Parliament, and the Councell of State
the Results of the Generall Councell of the Army, with other choise Intelligence
form severall parts of Great Brittain.
Containing these ensuing Heads viz.
A Proclamation by the Marquesse of Ormond, and the Lord Inchiquin, for
Charles the II, upon their near approach to Dublin, and after the taking of
Tredagh, Trim, and Dundalk six hundred of the Parliaments forces turned
to the Lord Inchiquin. There solution to proclaim Charles the II King in
the West of England. The king of Scots message to the Parliament. Six
rich ships brought in. The Lord Lievt. Crumwells Declaration published
at Bristol, and in Wales. With a Petition from the diggers at St. Georges
Hill in Surrey; and the proceedings of the Parliament yesterday) concerning
Major Generall Brown.
From Wednesday July 18. to Wednesday the 25 of July, 1649.
Beginning Wednesday July 18.
THe Commons took into consideration,
the Act concerning Probate of Wills,
Marriage, and Divorce, and by reason
of some amendments to be made therein,
the Committee formerly appointed
for that businesse, was revived, and Ordered
to sit in the Queens Court de die
in diem, untill they make report back
to the house. This Committee hath
likewise power to consider and report
what is fit to be done concerning Ecclesiastical
Courts and Officers.
The House spent good part of this
day in debate of an Act concerning
New-England, the effect whereof was that there may be a generall Collection
in all parts of England for maintenance for the propogation of the Gospell
there, and that there shall be a Corporation or president for the managing that
stock. This Act past the house.
