The kingdomes vveekly intelligencer, Number 294, 9th-16th January 1649 E.538[17]

The Prince of Wales continueth as yet with his sister the Princesse
of Orange, The prince her Husband intends shortly to keep
his Court at Nimigen to which place no hath commanded some
Companyes to attend him But the Report is that Nimigen, and
some other places of Note; not farre from it, doe alleage that they
by right belong unto the Empire, And therefore the Peace being
to be now established, they must returne to their first beginning,
and that they will be subject to no other Prince to exercise Dominion
over them. The Duke of Yorke accompanied with the Duke
of Buckingham, and some others is gone to Antwerps, and from
thence he intends to Bruxels, and so to La Foy in France, where
it is beleived the Queen his Mother will meet him, and continue
there during the troubles which inviron Paris, and threaten the
whole Kingdome of France.
Wednesday January 10.
THe Generall Councell of the Army have added five clauses to
the Agreement of the people concerning Religion; First that
the Ministers in the publick Dispensation of the Gospell shall be
maintained at the publick charge and not by Tythes. Secondly, That
none be forced by penaltyes, but Endeavours to be used to draw
people unto God by Doctrine and good Conversation, Thirdly, That
those who differ in Judgement from the Doctrine, Worship and
Discipline publikely set forth may not be restrained in their Exercises
of Religion, Provided that those Libertyes extend not to popery
or to Prelaey. Fourthly, That all Laws, Ordinances, Statutes
and clauses in any Law Statute or Ordinance to the prejudice, of
the Liberty herein provided may bee repeated and made voyd.
Fifthly, That all Laws for the banishment or other punishment of
Jews, as Jews be repealed and anulled.
The businesse of Master Pryn was this day taken into consideration:
The House of Commons had certain dayes before sent two
of their Members to him concerning the Memento extant in his
Name, who accordingly came to know of him whether he did write
those two sheets or no, To whom Master Pryn made Answer;
That unlesse he was required by a more lawfull Authority hee
would return no answer at all. The House being acquainted with
this, and being with all possessed, that Master Waller indeavoured
