From Tuesday, October 2 to Tuesday, October the 9. 1649.
PRince CHARLES having visited the Houses of the great
Ones in Picardy, and continued in some while afterwards in
Normandy (where at first his predecessors were for a long time
contented with a Dukedome) is now on his Remove to the Isle of
Jersey a place not of capacity enough to assume the Ambition of
so high a Title. The Scots by their Agent Mr.Wendrum have addressed
themselves unto him in a most inviting Message unto whom
it is likely that (ere it be long) he will direct as well his journey
as his Answer, and will there receive the Account which Collonel
Charpe shall make of his Agitations for him in Germany, and
what supplyes his other Agents have sollicited for him in Denmark,
Swedland, Hamborough, and in other places. Nothing untill
the Spring can be ascertained; There also will he receive what
Major Bozvile shall declare unto him concerning the present condition
of Ireland, who undoubtedly is employed into that place,
to make a perfect discovery of the Affaires thereof and accordingly
to deliver and to receive Instructions. It is sayd that Prince
CHARLES hath sent for his cosen Germans, the two German
Princes to come to Jersey to him, and to assist him in what shall be
