Beginning on Friday 26 October 1649.
THe House this day proceeded in the debate upon the
Report from Goldsmiths hall, touching the state of
that Treasury, and the condition of the Sequestrations, And
ordered,
That it be referred to the Committee at Goldsmiths
Hall to consider of the Rules already given concerning
Appeales of Delinquents, and to present to the
House some course to be taken for quickening of that businesse, that by
their delayes the State may not be prejudiced.
Resolved (upon the Question) by the Parliament,
That all such Lands of Papifts in Armes, and of persons exempted
from pardon, as shall be in the power of the Parliament, shall be disposed
of, and applyed for publique uses of the Commonwealth, in order
to abate the Assessements.
