A Perfect Diurnall
OF SOME
PASSAGES
IN
PARLIAMENT
And daily proceedings of the Army under his
Excellency the Lord FAIRFAX.
From Munday the 26. of February till Muad. the 5 of February. 1648.
Collected for the satisfaction of such as desire to be truly informed

And are to be sold at their stops in the Old-Baily, and at Temple-Barre.
Beginning Munday February 26.
THis day Mr. Speaker acquainted the house with a bold
letter he had received Saterday night last, after the house
was up, from the Scotch Commissioners;at which time
they went away hence without taking leave, towards
Gravesend,and intended for Scotland, The Letter expressed
much bitternesse against the Parliament, as to
the late proceedings against the King, House of Lords,
and secluded Members.
The House upon reading and debate hereof voted this
short Declaration following to undeceive the people.
And because the like presumption had never been made before by any Embassadors,
or Commissioners as this, which they conceived was without Commission
from the Parliament of Scotland, they ordered that the said Commissioners of
Scotland should be taken into custody and that the Parliament of Scotl, be sent
unto to give their approbation, or disprovall of what they have don herein, and to
that purpose a dispatch and guard was sent privatly to Gravesend after them.
The Declaration by the House against the Commissioners Letter was as followeth.
THE Parliament having received a Paper dated 27.February, 1648. Subscribed
by the Earl of Lothian, Sir John Chesley and Mr: Glendoning, in the name of the
Kingdom of Scotland,and taking the same into their serious considerations, They
do declare that the said paper doth contain much scandalous and reproachfull
matter against the just proceedings of this Parliament,and an assuming on the
