And the daily proceedings of the Army under his Excellency
the Lord Fairfax.

Beginning June 4.
THis Day Report was made to the House from the Committee
appointed to examine the cases of absent Members,
that they had received satisfaction from Colonell
Russell, as to his absence, The house voted that the
said Colonell should be readmitted. The Like Report
was made from the said committee, concerning
the absence of Mr. Richard Edwards of Bedfordshire,
And he likewise ordered to be readmitted. The house
likewise ordered that Master Frampton Gourdon, Mr.
Thomas Hodges, and Mr. Ellis should be admitted into
the House.
Report was made according to former order, of the amendments to the Act
for releiving all persons molested, sued, or otherwise greived contrary to Articles,
much debate had upon this busines. The question was propounded for any five of
the Committee concerning this busines, to be of the Quornm, but this not well
resented The question was then put for any nine of this Committee to be of the
Quorum. and it was resolved in the Affirmative.
The Act it self was afterwards recommitted, with this amendment to be inserted
therin, viz. That the parties complaining should have the benefit, so far as in justice
they ought to have by their Articles, where they not had the same, and have not
forfeited their right thereunto, without charging any Costs, or damages upon the
Common-wealth, of any person or persons against whom the complaint is made.
This amendment to be inserted, and the Act ordered to be reported to morrow
morning.
