IN our last was proved; That the way of
a free-State, or government by the People,
setled in a due succession of their supreme
Assemblies, is so farr from introducing
of Community, and Levelling of
Estates, that it is, and ever hath bin the
only preservative of Property in all particulars.
A second Objection in the mouths of
many, is this; That the erecting of such a Form in the Peoples
hands, were the ready way to cause confusion in Government,
when all persons (without distinction) are allowed a
Right to chuse and be chosen Members of the supreme Assemblies;
which equality of Right in all to chuse and to bee
chosen, is by Aristotle called Levelling. For answer to this,
know that we must consider a Commonweal in a twofold condition,
