From Chatham, February 3.
THe three Generals, and all the Commissioners
that joyned in Counsell here with
them, are now gon to Quinborough road,
in Order to an expeditious sailing out to sea
with the whole Fleet, which at that place
consist of 60 odd sail of goodly Vessels;
well maned, victualled, and fully resolved as ever I saw any;
by Saturday next the 5th instant they will be ready to receive
a favourable gale to blow them out. There are other
ships that lie at portsmouth, and other parts in the West,
that are ready to joyn with them, which will compleat
their number to be 80. there is a very good harmony amongst
the Officers and Martiners, and between the Martiners
and Souldiers. Some little inconsiderable discontents
were occasioned by 2 or 3 Martiners that mutinied
concerning their pay, but they being punished and convinced
