From Thursday, February 17, to Thursday February, 24. 1653.
WE are every day in expectation of Newes
from Enis Buffin, having had very fair weather
these seaven days last past; Sir Phelim
Oneile is now in Town under examination
on, and will shortly receive the reward of
his labour; be is a pittyfull [unr]low-spirited
man. Col. Luke Toole and seaven more were hanged on
Saturday last, and many more upon their Tryal. The gaols
are full in every Province we have at least 200 men in hold
of considerable account. The High Court of Justice will
have work enough for one twelve months. Our Forces
meet every day with them in the woods and Islands, so
that now they begin to quit them, and betake themselves
to the rocks.
