Mercurius politicus, Number 550, 13th-20th January 1659 E.761[6]

seize on it by main force. We hear no further news of the
drawing nearer of the Pomeranian forces; only it is said that
some 100 horse was arrived at Wismar.
Letters from Coppenhaguen intimate, that on the sixteenth
of December there came thirty or forty great and small Vessels
from Lubeck and Danrzick, laden with salt, malt,
barreld butter, and other provisions, which they carried into
Coppenhagen.
The last from Hamborough, Jan. 7.
We have no other news from the Brandenburghish army,
but that they are marched to the side of Fredericks-Ode;
some think that it shall be blockt up, to keep the Swedish from
excurring into Holstein and Jutland, for to take this place by
farce is almost impossible, because there is a mighty garrison
in it, and they can have aid from Funen npon oceasion. We
hear from Dantzick, that Thoren was delivered to the Polanders,
and the garrison in it to march out on the thirtyeth of
December.
Other Elections which came since the last, are as followeth.

State.
