SOme endeavors have been by divers persons of
activity, to engage the people ill this County
in the subscribing of a Paper, of the same nature
with those that have been formed in other
Counties, for a Free Parliament; the meaning
whereof is, that they would have the seelnded
Members readmitted to sit, and have no Tie upon them
by Engagement or otherwise, to obliege them to the Government
of the Commonwealth, or to an acting in such a
manners may secure that Form of Government, or the
