THis City and Country, though they insist
much upon their Declaration lately made and
sent up to London, yet they proceed not to any
designs of violence, chusing rather to expect
the issue of things above. Some intercourse by
Letter hath lately passed betwixt the Lord Fairfax and Col.
Charls Fairfax, whereupon his Lordship assured him, that
there was no intent in himself, nor in the Gentlemen who
are of his Judgment touching publick Affairs, to occasion
the least disturbance, but that they contented themselves with
